Honorable Mention — Field Guide
Singapore Beaches
Singapore has no Blue Flag programme; its entry here is an honorable mention on editorial merit. Sentosa's managed beaches are groomed to a standard many certified coasts would envy — we simply can't call them certified, so we don't.
A Blue Flag is awarded season by season for excellent bathing-water quality, safety, services, and environmental management — what a Blue Flag beach means explains the certification in full.

Field notes — quick answers
Does Singapore have Blue Flag beaches?
No — Singapore does not currently operate a national Blue Flag programme, so none of its beaches carry the certification. The beaches we map there are editorial honorable mentions, chosen on merit and clearly labelled as uncertified.
How current is this Singapore beach list?
Certification is seasonal, so we track the 2026 season and update listings as national juries publish changes. Beaches that hold Blue Flag certification and uncertified "Certification Candidate" beaches are always labelled separately.
