Honorable Mention — Field Guide
Vietnam Beaches
Vietnam has no national Blue Flag programme; the beaches we note are honorable mentions, not certifications. Đà Nẵng's long white crescent and Phú Quốc's island sand are the standouts of a coastline that runs the country's whole length.
A Blue Flag is awarded season by season for excellent bathing-water quality, safety, services, and environmental management — what a Blue Flag beach means explains the certification in full.

Field notes — quick answers
Does Vietnam have Blue Flag beaches?
No — Vietnam does not currently operate a national Blue Flag programme, so none of its beaches carry the certification. The beaches we map there are editorial honorable mentions, chosen on merit and clearly labelled as uncertified.
How current is this Vietnam beach list?
Certification is seasonal, so we track the 2026 season and update listings as national juries publish changes. Beaches that hold Blue Flag certification and uncertified "Certification Candidate" beaches are always labelled separately.
